radical embodied breathwork - time to really par it back and be with your breath, letting it do the work of deep unfolding for you

all this in the company of like minded humans, with a long shared lunch and time to connect, share, and be together

our world has us worshipping and falling over at the feet of busy
dragging us from pillar to post
from catching up on things to racing to the next goal/appointment/necessary thing
and there is always another necessary thing...
These day sessions are an offering of something different, an experience of an alternative way of being.
It is offered as a remedy to culture and lifestyles that ignore our real deep human needs, creating increasing stress, ill health and disconnection from self and others.
because, while somewhere in the world
there is softness and beauty
the sun glistening on a dew drop,
a bird feeding its young
the ocean, receiving the rivers as they joyfully tumble
into each others arms
there is also pain and suffering
war, grief, loss, political scuffling, unwelcome control, imposition, taking, illness, disasters
and all of this - pleasure and pain
in us as well as the world.
we weren’t taught or ’trained’ to hold all this, to receive the onslaught of messaging and information and yet it is possible for us to find our capacity
to hold without crumbling,
to feel without burnout and overwhelm
to be present, without having to disconnect
and able to pull back when we need to
able to stay centred in ourselves and even anchor more deeply
when the world demands and pulls so hard in every-other-direction
when the crazy gets too much.
this is what radical [ self care ] sundays are for
not a giant bubble bath or chocolate bonanza
not a ‘fix-it’ or ‘how-to’ workshop
this is time to pause. to surrender to what Is.
time to be present for yourself, to the many elements of your life.
to allow your system to offload, down regulate and from there
you can explore, get curious, playful even, even while hard things happen.
what has been hidden from us, is our own soft strength
our beingness, our incredible human capacity,
it is so much more than we have ever been taught, experienced or even imagined
and as we push to the next thing or pull away from the undesirable
- as we have been conditioned to do
we miss things. we miss parts of ourselves. we miss some of the worlds beauty as we turn from the pain. when we hold out against someone or something, we hold out from a part of ourselves and cut off from the nourishment, the love, even our own capacity to grieve and ache which is part of this wonderous adventure we call life.
if we are cutting off, cutting out and dashing past
in our rush, in our avoiding we miss our own capacity
to hold, to expand, to allow, to be with what is.
We bypass our own soul.
There is another way. The way of opening, deepening, surrendering to what is, even if just for a moment. with no end goal required.
This invites us to be beyond time - as Rumi put it so eloquently:
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
There is a field. I'll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
The world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase each other
Doesn't make any sense.
There is nothing to wait for, it all lies at your feet, in your breath
ready, and right there when you meet it
it is most simply time that you gift to yourself
space that you allow yourself to occupy
it can begin with a small step, a breath, the only thing is to begin

We know that pay-what-you-will or donation scenarios tend to set our heads spinning, so we give you this range as a guide. What you choose to give will be a combination of your financial position, how you value the event and how you value our work. There is no judgement!
Why are we doing this?? to help keep things accesssible while honouring ourselves, and more importnanly becuase we understand that the financial side of our world is very out of alignment, collapsing ans shifting. This is a way we are supporting finding new ways to use money, do business, express value, and investing in things that help create a world we wish to live in.

IMPORTANT SESSION INFORMATION
BRING: water, snacks/food if you have special dietary requirements
- 2 blankets, your own yoga mat if you have one, a small pillow and some extra layers (socks) in the cooler months, water, pen and notebook + reading glasses if you need them!
Yoga mats - if you have a thicker mat and would like to use that for extra comfort, be my guest!
I have a limited amount of yoga mats, blankets & cushions available if you don’t have your own -let me know if you need to use ours so we can make sure everyone is supported).
WEAR: loose comfortable clothing that is suitable for simple movement as well as non-restrictive for breathing and movement sections. During your ‘breathe’ you will want to remove watches, jewellery, belts etc, and leave your phone and other ‘smart’ devices turned off and in the car - or even better, at home if you can!
FOOD/DRINK: Avoid stimulants on the day of the session (e.g preferably no coffee, especially if it is a morning session). It is also recommended not to eat a heavy meal in the 2 hours prior to your session.
Rest assured this not because of religious beliefs or similar - this is simply about supporting yourself to have the best experience possible.
We will be working with the experiences of being and feeling in your body, stimulants or excessively heavy meals can make it more difficult to really get in touch with what is going on in your body and mind.

How long are group sessions?? This group session is approximately 6 hours of immersion, practice, connection, contemplation and relaxation.
including a healthy and yummy shared lunch.
You will receive tools and practices to support you after the workshop and further your integration, and we will have time to connect and discuss in the group setting - you choose how much you participate at that level, firstly you are here for you. Then, as we feel safe we open to the group, and collective - for as with all healing work, the impacts go beyond just You.
How often do you run these sessions?? We offer group sessions on a regular basis, and you can combine these with private sessions for a truely deep journey.

A Certified Rebirthing Breathwork Practitioner and Trainer, I also bring over 20 years of experience teaching & studying yoga & meditation to each session, along with over 30 years of self discovery and personal growth work.
More recently, along with my partner Natalie Fitzpatrick we have evolved or perhaps birthed Radical Embodied Breathwork, bringing rebirthing into the particular needs of the current times.
I love sharing my learning and explorations with you in a safe, inclusive, fun way.
The space I hold is gentle and strong, deeply intuitive, sensitive, with a touch of something extra - and all that while we keep it incredibly practical - because if it doesn't help you to live in the world better, I am not doing my job... simple.
We are here, it is the only place we can be, and my aim is to make the most of it in body, mind and spirit: grounded, expanded, radiant and awake.
